The unknown is an underground DJ who works on deep and hypnotic beats. He thrives in anonymity and enjoys creating music that draws others into his dramatic and deeply emotional world. This artist really wanted unique branding that pulled from hype beast styles, represented the flavor of his music, and embodied the dichotomy between the familiar and the surreal.

For the branding, I knew I wanted to include some neon colors such as the lime green above. I complimented it with the warm yellow, light pink, and deep, vibrant purple to create a very stimulating palette. The tiger logo was inspired by classic designer brands such as Gucci, but certain elements such as the elongated tongue and small pupils have been manipulated to create a surreal effect.








Each of the merchandise items above feature elements of the unique brand system for The Unknown. The vibrant colors, signature logo, and swirling patterns contribute to the surreal feeling of the design.

Being a modern-day DJ, The Unknown relies heavily on his appearance on social media and streaming apps such as Soundcloud. The designs running behind the songs offer a unique opportunity for branding your songs and your listener's experience.

The design to the left highlights the swirling pattern by enlarging it to take up the user's whole screen. Then we featured the tiger mark in the center as a focal point of the user's attention along with The Unknown's name.
